I’m pretty sure all the angels in heaven look like this.

I’ve been a huge fan of Physician’s Formula ever since I worked on a shoot for the brand and learned all about the company and its range of products. In fact, I have various versions of their Light Bronzer shade in my own personal makeup bag (yes! a bronzer made for fair skin!). My next purchase- this adorable Happy Booster™ Glow and Mood Boosting Powder. Just looking at its supreme cuteness makes me smile, but it turns out there’s also an ingredient in the product, Euphoryl, that may also literally give your spirits a lift. According to the PF website, this product contains a blend of “natural plant extracts which have been shown to promote a feeling of happiness by mimicking the effect of Endorphins and helping protect the skin from environmental stress”. In today’s fast paced world of ups and downs, who can’t use something like this in their makeup bag?
One of my favorite products and truly the best mask I’ve ever used is Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay and I like to use it after a workout when my skin is open and ready for deep cleansing. There are different recipes to follow on the website, but I seem to get the best results using the raw apple cider method. Just like the label says, your face pulsates, your pores are extracted and an added bonus I’ve noticed is an all over firming effect. Heads up though- it’s possible to experience some redness right after, so do it at least a couple of hours before you go out. Made from 100% Natural Calcium Bentonite Clay, you can’t beat it for clean, radiant skin and at $7.95, it’s a score!
Last month I decided what I need for 2011 is Cherry lips and the only version I’m interested in is that sweet place between red and hot pink that’s so bright it hurts the eyes. Luckily for me, I didn’t have to search for my dream shade because being a color specialist for Three Custom Color allows me the awesome privilege of making colors when I need them, which for me, is usually pretty urgently. To get my desired shade of Cherry, in addition to the main colorants, I threw in some day-glo pigment and a splash of violet shimmer to take it just where I want it- ELECTRIC!
